Rules I will have as a parent
Things I’ll do when I’m a parent and have kids
⠀
1. My kids will never get perfect attendance at school. There will be trips to take & mental health days to be had. And if they need a day, I probably do too.
⠀
2. My kids are allowed in my room & allowed to sleep in my bed. That’s weird to me, why that was even a thing, I don't know.
⠀
3. We can always get something from the store. Want a $1 hot wheel? Or to pick out your own special snack, have at it.
⠀
4. If you don’t like dinner, don’t eat it. If I know you won’t like it, I’ll always make separate dinner. Nobody goes to bed hungry
⠀
5. Sleep in. I’ll never wake you up early on a weekend unless we’re doing something fun. Sleep til 10? I don’t care.
⠀
6. You won’t have to have straight A’s or be afraid to show me your grades. Chance are I’ll already know you tried your best & we’ll already have a plan to get you the help you need.
⠀
7. We are the fun house. You can always invite your friends over without fear of harassment, embarrassment or hostility.
⠀
8. You never have to hug anybody you don’t want too. Nothing else needs to be said here.
⠀
9. 9/10 times we can stop at the chick fil a when you ask, because mama wants a fry too.
10. I never want you to be afraid to tell me that you messed up. I want to be your first call, I will be your safe space.
Achieve your health goals from period to parenting.
