Exploring Birth Control at 46
I’m 46 years old and exploring birth control for the first time since I was 23. I was told I was close to infertile. I have used condoms and pull out since. My new beau and I were discussing options as he is not sterile and we are very sexually active and don’t want to use a condom. I am weighing out 3 options. IUD, shot, and sterilization (tubes tied). My main concern is side effects. I would love to have a lighter. And no cramping. I have no desire to have children. Cost is also a concern. I have high deductible health insurance. Any feedback or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
