do you ladies prefer lab or natural diamond for your engagement ring?

my fiance just popped the question with a natural diamond ring 🙃 I didnt know anything about diamonds and jewelry until recently lol now i just wonder how is lab vs natural diamond… i low key wish he opted for the lab one for less $$$ tho and we have no planning to resell it at all so why need to care about its value and worth right? as long as the ring looks pretty im happy :-)

Lab is a great idea! The only thing is it doesn’t hold the same value. You will never be able to sell it if you ever needed to or wanted to for what ever reason being.

There is a great documentary on netflix about diamonds. According to that you can hardly distinguishe lab from natural or else you have some kind of test. Lab diamonds are being sold as natural ones already. So at the end of the day you may pay the price of a natural one and end up with a lab one anyway. They even come with certificate and all. Also lab ones being such a good quality means it will soon not matter anymore if it is lab or natural the price of both will drastically go down. So it is as well worth opting for the cheaper option and put the money saved on a savings account where you'll get interest for it.
