So I am a 21 year old African woman & my boyfriend is a 27 year old Jamaican.

We have a son together & live together. We have also been together for 2 years. A little under a year into the relationship, my family became aware of the relationship & do not approve.

We had a lists of accomplishments we wanted to achieve in a certain time & my family saw the list & were extremely upset about it.

My family thinks that my boyfriend manipulated me and coerced me into becoming pregnant. They blame him for me not being in school (even tho I recently got accepted but my mother refused to give me the documents I needed to submit in order to receive my schedule). They basically think my boyfriend ruined my life.

On multiple occasions my parents have told me I need to move home because I am too young etc. I have told them that I will not be moving home as I am happy with my boyfriend. After telling them this they barley talk to me & they do not check up on my son, their grandchild.

I’m just looking for some advice on what y’all think I should do. My boyfriend wants to marry me & I want to marry him too, but I told him I would like for him to reach out to my parents letting them know he wants to marry me but he doesn’t want to.

Any advice I’d appreciate!!
