I had a cervix measurement at 18.2 weeks due to a leep procedure I had 5 years ago. My cervix measured 1.9. This is my first pregnancy and I am so worried. I was given progesterone and told we’d do another check in 10 days. Is there any hard line as to when to pull the trigger on a cerclage? I obviously would do anything for my baby girl, but there’s obviously risks with any procedure and if I don’t have to do it I don’t want to risk it. Even though I know it’ll take some of the stress away if I do get the stitch put in. Help!

Update: I went back for my check after the 10 days and now I’m at 1.3-1.4. My doctor said he usually goes by the text book and that typically recommends doing the cerclage if the cervix is down to 1. I’m even more stressed now. I am to go back in 5 days at which time I’ll be 20.2 to see if the progesterone has changed anything. I feel like I should just go ahead and do the cerclage. I have 4 weeks to even have a chance at viability.
