Hello I’m 19 living by myself and was just diagnosed with HSV-2 on 8/9/23. It’s come as a total shock to me as I’ve never had an outbreak or any symptoms and my past partners never shared any concerns they had with me if they had any. I’ve notified everyone I need to notify but my doctor hasn’t been answering my questions aside from just telling me to wait for an outbreak. What are the treatments (western medicine) and what are some vitamins/supplements and dietary changes I can make to try to lower my count (8.0). Also would it be worth it to test again in case it’s a false positive? Although me scoring as high as I did is pretty confirming. Also any comforting words would be nice, it feels life ending right now but I know it’ll probably get better.
