BFP at 2.5 weeks “late”

Caitlyn

My first pregnancy I didn’t test positive until I was almost 5 weeks pregnant, on May 11. I miscarried on June 5 at what would have been around 9 weeks, although my ultrasound and hcg was corresponding more to 4-6 weeks. I continued to have very strong positive pregnancy tests for at least 5 weeks and even when my blood levels were 6, my pregnancy tests were still strongly positive (the sensitivity level was 25). So I know already that apparently my body takes a while to build up the hcg in urine and takes a long time for it to break down as well.

I’m currently pregnant again, last period started early July, and I’m 7 weeks exact today. My first clear positive test was 8/24, so 6 weeks and 4 days, not quite 3 weeks “late”.

The only people that know is my husband and my mom , both of which say they just don’t want me to get my hopes up and that they feel like my test should be darker I’m im really that far along (I confirmed ovulation within a few days at least so my timing should be right. )

I know from things I’ve read on here, some women have strong positives before they even miss their period. Some don’t have strong positives until they’re about a month late. Some women never test positive through urine at all. And from what I’ve gathered, none of this means a single thing towards the health of the pregnancy. Someone could test positive very early and miscarry, or someone could test very late and the pregnancy be fine.

I haven’t wanted to post but I need the validation from other women who have been there. Yes I know that anything can happen, and I know that I could miscarry again, but chances are even greater that I won’t. I just want to ease my mind and have someone who understands talk through their experience about it.
