Baby Name Drama🫠

Long Story… tell me what I should do‼️

So my friend and I were talking about baby names; which ones we love and planned on being contenders for our next children (we both have sons close in age). I sputtered through my list of girl names telling her my top 3 and coincidentally, 1 of my tops is also hers… she tells me the reason she like that name and wanted to use it was because it was a more “modern” form of her grandmother’s name. I told her I loved it and it’s also been on my list for years too. It’s a little unique but a “climbing in popularity” name, so it doesn’t surprise me she had it in her list. Nothing else conspires from this.

BUT✨ flash forward 3-4 months, I found out I’m pregnant and it just happens to be a girl. She is not pregnant and unsure when they’ll ttc or if they’ll ever have a girl… I feel a bit uncomfortable leaving the name after hearing her reasoning behind it and

with the fear of her being upset but this name has been on my heart for years and long before I knew her. It’s also a name my husband loves as well and has reminisced about just as long.

Do I keep the name in my top contenders? And potentially ruffle feathers if we decide on that name? Or do I let it go and perhaps regret it? ‼️HELP‼️

How do I have this conversation with her without feelings being hurt
