Why are a lot of people on this app against natural herbs ?

I see a lot of people are against natural herbs  that can possibly help you conceive , but will allow a doctor to prescribe you with 4-5 medications to jack up your body and cycle. Why is this ?

Because natural herbs arent monitored the same as medication and there is rarely any credible information on how these herbs can help. When there are medications that are proven to work and do what they say theyll do. Not to mention ive only ever heard of womens cycles getting absolutely screwed up from lots of these "natural" conceiving supplements.

Because western medicine is the widely accepted, a lot of people lack education on alternative healing. Most herbs/supplements are not FDA approved, have no regulation & can be just as harmful as prescription medication - if not used properly. & I say this as an advocate for alternative & holistic health, but the truth is there is just not enough education & people who are raised to follow western medicine have a hard time believing there are natural remedies. Herbs shouldn’t be consumed to help with fertility unless under the advice of a dr (which they do have holistic medical professionals) - someone who knows what it’s going to do to your body and what your body needs specifically.

Natural never means safe or effective. The herbal supplements aren't regulated or tested and the claims are dubious at best. I just prefer evidence over vibes 🤷

Because certain things can still mess up your cycle & a lot of times people are referring to fertility teas, supplements, etc that are just marketing scams

Oh I tell you why for me it messed me up! Also very hidden side effects when you fall pregnant on natural herbs like vitex (if you fall pregnant on it you need to stay on till 12 weeks as stoping it or your body rejecting it what happens is it will lower your progesterone and cause a miscarriage). I did the “natural route for 3 years” nothing worked one landed me in hospital needing a lumbar puncture due to build of fluid on brain caused by supplements, another one messed my cycle up for 1.5 years didn’t ovulate for 6 months later. went on clomid which I am forever grateful as I now have a 5 week old baby boy after years of trying. 
Clomid and metformin I had no side effects never messed my cycles up.
