Empty sac?

I went for an early scan last week and was told there’s a sac but it’s empty… I should’ve been about 6 weeks according to my LMP. Yesterday I saw my obstetrician and he took this image but his machine is a bit dated. I have a follow up tomorrow for another scan at an ultrasound place…what do you all think? Hcg is going up but not doubling, last it was 15000…

This is exactly what just happened to me. I went in for what I thought was an 8 week scan and it was very hard to see anything. Thought the dates were off. The the machine was junk. It was just an app on a tablet. Thought maybe I was too “fluffy”. Had blood work taken three times with excellent results. A week later went back and maybbbbe something more could we seen in the sac but we couldn’t be certain. I do ovulate late and have longer cycles so I was really banking on just being behind a week or so. Experienced my first miscarriage the day after the scan. I hope this is not the case for you, but prepare yourself for the worst just in case. I’ve never been so pessimistic in life before this experience. Heartbreaking is an understatement. The only thing getting me through this is my relationship with God. Keep us posted ❤️

Do you have long cycles? Were you tracking ovulation? Was this a transvsginal ultrasound or over stomach?
