Deli meat? What happens if you eat?

Is willow tree chicken salad deli meat? I ate it on a toast for about 6 days. Now im panicking. Npw what to do? Will it effect the baby? Im so sad. What should i do now?

“They” say not to eat deli meat due to risk of listeria which is a food borne illness. The risk is incredibly incredibly low. Any food including chicken salad (which needs to be handled more than a deli meat) can carry food borne illness. In fact lettuce has the highest risk of listeria. Make sure all your food comes from reputable sources and is handled properly. Same as you would pregnant or not. 
Nothing happens when you eat deli meat. If you eat a food that is contaminated and you got food poisoning, you would get sick. Listeria is dangerous to babe too.

I’m not familiar with this chicken salad, but any prepared cold dish like that would potentially pose a risk for listeria. Pregnant or not, it’s best to avoid anything from a salad bar, including precut fruits. If you haven’t felt sick then you’re probably fine, but I would just avoid in the future for the safety of your baby.

The risk is listeria. Listeria on deli meats from a reputable source is not very likely in this day and age. You have a higher chance of listeria from a salad, precut fruit, or ice cream. No one says not to eat those…
Most of the don’t eat stuff is outdated. Just avoid drugs, alcohol, and raw meat.

Chicken salad isn’t deli meat. The biggest concern with deli meat is that it may be contaminated with listeria which will make you sick. There are ways to mitigate that risk and it isn’t that likely in my opinion. I’ve continued to eat deli meat throughout my pregnancy.
