How long is ovulation? Pls help

I’ve been breastfeeding for two years, no period yet, but had peak ovulation on the clearblue reader 25th/26th. On the 23rd it was low and I didn’t test 24th. It was low again by the evening of the 26th. So did I ovulate even? If so when would I expect my period? TIA

Ovulation generally happens somewhere between 12-36 hours after a positive/peak OPK. Once ovulation actually occurs (which is typically once per cycle), an egg is viable for up to 24 hours. That said, it is possible to get a positive/peak OPK & not ovulate. U would’ve needed to check/track ur BBT (basal body temperature) to know if ovulation actually occurred. If ovulation did occur, and u didn’t get pregnant, then ur period should come about 2 weeks (give or take a few days) after ovulation.
