How do manage having your baby at family holiday gatherings? My guy will be 6 months by Christmas but I don’t want him being passed around or touched for obvious reasons. And I still want him in bed at a decent time. I’m all for allowing bed to run MAYBE an hour later but if he’s showing signs he won’t make it, then we are heading home! My husband just doesn’t agree with me. He thinks I’m being an overprotective mom- like why can’t his mom kiss my baby’s face all over and why can’t his brother and his kids hold him and touch his hands? To me- it’s obvious I want him safe and not getting sick during such a crazy time of year! My husband wants to be more laid back. Then there’s the fight over what time we should leave. His family gatherings have always gone way late into the night and he wants us to stay out longer even with a 6 month old. I said NOPE- I’ll go home with baby and you can stay out. He doesn’t like that. Quite frankly I loved the idea of having kids so I had an excuse to leave when I wanted 😂 but it’s not working already. Thoughts? Anyone relate? Advice? Am I too uptight???
