Is this normal for an umbilical cord stump?
My daughter is 6 days old and her stump is hanging by a thread. And the inside looks a little yellow. I’m a first time mom and I’m unsure if this is normal. There is no weeping, it doesn’t smell, it’s not warm around the site, it did bleed some in the past few days as it was wiggling off, but only a little that I noticed on her clothes. Does it look infected? Or is it normal?
