How early is too early to buy a crib?

4 months. Is it too early to start buying cribs? Just want things to be tucked away and ready!

It's up to you! 4 months gives you pleanty of time to get the nursery exactly how you want it to be. Lots of time to decorate, organize, and wash everything! Personally I don't buy anything until viability at 24 weeks. This is my 4th pregnancy and with each pregnancy the only thing I had on hand by 30 weeks was a carseat, play yard for sleeping, and some premie diapers. I knew a baby born before 34 weeks would stay in the NICU for a while anyways. I usually get the big stuff around 32 weeks and have the nursery set up by 36 weeks. This time around my oldest is old enough for me to reuse her furniture so I have her old nursery still put together. I'll likely wait until 30 weeks to get in there to deep clean, organize, and change all of the decor out for the new baby.

Definitely start as soon as possible! I’m 33 weeks and sooo exhausted. Our nursery is finally completed only due to the fact that I’m high risk, have diabetes, and our son is going to come by 38 weeks doctors say 😅 They told me at 32 weeks to pack our hospital bags. Otherwise, I would be napping right now and shutting the door to the room full of Amazon boxes. I also have a 5 year old that needs my attention when she isn’t at school for 3 hours of the day. Plus, cleaning the house and cooking. It’s a lot. My husband works graveyard so he helps as much as he can when he isn’t sleeping during the day. 
When we had our baby shower at 7 months, a lot of items that were a need weren’t purchased by guests which is totally fine. But we had to purchase in separate orders when we had extra money to do so.
