HPV positive 😩

I just took a pap and came back abnormal. Come to find out it was showing positive for high risk hpv. I never knew that this virus stays with you. 20 years I was diagnosed at age 18 and thought it was clear and gone as I took the Gaurdsil shots… nope obgyn explained that it’s viral and it’s underlining and therefore it doesn’t completely disappear. I have no warts or anything, just abnormal cells and now I’m going to get a colposcopy done on Monday. Anyone had this?
