Gift ideas for out of country family?

My sister in law is coming to visit from Colombia. I'd like to get her and her two kids (5 year old girl and 3 year old boy) a few gifts. The problem is that I don't really know them/what they like at all. Also, my SIL is traveling carry on only so that limits what I can give. Any gift ideas for these 3 family members? Bonus points if I can give them something that you can only get in America.

A welcome basket in their room. Things they may have forgotten. Food. Drinks. Comfort. Or things from home so they don’t feel home sick. Or Socks and slippers a robe a chocolate on the pillow like a fancy hotel would do. Not sure where you live what tourist doesn’t want to go to New York or Las Vegas or Disney. Washington DC. Amusement parks. Etc. I ❤️ NY shirt. Something simple as that. Fyi I hope you told them it’s winter here, they may have come with summer clothing. That’s the first thing we usually have to get clients that came through the border is a winter coat. We have a hook up with a church that takes care of them because they all come with summer clothes. It may be a shock to them. I remember years ago one client, they have never seen snow before and was a shock to them. So it may be an adjustment. Always cold. Etc. might have to turn up the thermostat. Depends where you take them souvenirs to take home with them is probably what they would want most they always want to take stuff for family. And we learned the hard way can’t take a snow globe on the plane if it’s more than 3oz of water. What a pain. As for kids depends if they are technology kids or coloring books and art supplies or Lego kids. I would ask the mother what they are into. So you can gear that into where you take them. Museums and aquarium or FRANKLIN Institute. They are science kids. Versus a bookworm who may not enjoy an amusement park. Always best to ask the parents before. You overstep or assume and get them hooked on Xbox etc.

Candy/snacks you can only buy from America! My husband and I were actually at Target recently when a man from a different country (I don’t remember which one, I want to say Russia?) asked us to help him find candy/snacks that you can only find here to take back home for his family to try! We told him to get Twizzlers, Airheads, different chocolates, etc.
