Hospital Bag…what to pack???

So, my first baby was born 7 years ago & for the life of me I just can’t remember what I packed in my hospital bag…pajamas, robe, clothes for me & baby…I’m 36 + 4 & will be having a C-section at 38 weeks…TIA

Snacks! ALL the snacks. Lol. The worst part of the first few days postpartum for me was the hunger, and I didn’t plan well for that at all. I will be packing a bunch of stuff to eat this time.

I had a C section and they gave me a list of what to bring. Ask your doctor for one since every hospital is different on certain things (like mine didn’t provide pumps, extra pillows for overnight person, allow blankets from home etc) I brought a sleep gown for after my first shower and super soft stretchy PJs to go home in that didn’t irritate my incision. Nursing bra/bra in general. Basic hygiene like toothpaste, soap, deodorant (which I’m sure if you don’t bring they’ll have but sometimes it’s nice to use your own) phone charger, 1-3 days worth of clothes/snacks/etc for your support person. Swaddles/sleepsacks for baby, and going home outfit. I had a bag full for me, hubby, and baby and only used these items. They literally had everything else, especially for baby. Breast pump is optional if that’s something you’re doing, my hospital didn’t provide one for me so I had to bring my own.

As far as c section goes, I’m not sure. I didn’t have one. As far as the normal stuff to bring.. I pretty much brought clothes for baby and I to go home in and that’s it. And a towel for my shower because the hospital towels suck. They provided pretty much everything else.
