I want to build a relationship with god not sure what steps to take I want to get a bible but I don’t know what kind to get?

Hello dear, that is such a great question and I applaud you on starting this wonderful journey. I highly recommend getting the amplified version with the King James Version (it’s both in one Bible) and there is a study schedule as well as clarity on what particular things mean. Another option is to get the king James study Bible with commentary, that one really gets into the details on what is going on in particular scriptures, especially the really confusing ones. I’ve used the app JW Library on my phone or jw.org. Everything is free and you don’t need an account either. You cross reference with various Bible translations right in the app. (I’ll attach an example pic)There’s also Bible study “aid” books and lots of other publications/videos etc. It can be intimidating to start a spiritual journey, hope it’s going well (just noticed how old the post is 😆)

Depends on what denomination you want to follow. Catholics have more books over all in the Bible. “Generic” Christians have less. I’m a Jewish so we have the tanach which is what you would call the Old Testament. Choose a denomination first and go for it :) the five Books of Moses is a very nice place to start it’s the same in all branches and it’s what we Jewish call the Torah. It’s the first 5 books: Genesis exodus leviticus numbers and deuteronomy
