On first dates I tend to ask if we could split the bill, to play safe. Guy today insisted he pay so I said “okay I won’t stop you”. Well afterwards he basically tells me how it’s gonna go sort of speak, and said how “I don’t want to make this a habit that I’m going to pay for you each time…even though I did ask you to accompany me on todays date”. It made me feel so uncomfortable and ruined the rest of the date. Let’s say there will be no 2nd date. Again, I’m fine with paying for myself but him assuming in a sense I must take guys for granted money wise or that they’ll always flip the bill, no sir. 🥴
