I have a 4 year old son and his father is French. He's always talked with an "American" accent. Our custody recently changed. I had sole custody and now it's joint. My son has recently started imitating his dad's accent. I know when people who have different accents have children they may have an accent or combined accent but his dad was not great to me and I'm really hoping this isn't gonna become a habit. He's already talking so hopefully his voice is established but can an accent change over time and he gains a French accent?
