What is implantation bleeding

Question

Can someone please explain to me what implantation bleeding in with details descriptions because I don't know what it is and trying to Google what it is what it looks like is it supposed to have a smell that is smell different than a period does it look different than the period I'm confused yes I have a five year old but ain't nobody explain these things to me and I'm really trying to figure this out because this period or this cycle that I am on I can wear tampon all day and take it out and there's barely anything on it and if it is it's brown and look old and stuff I don't know can somebody help please

It’s really kind of a myth because it’s impossible to say it was implantation or pre period spotting until either pregnancy is confirmed or your period starts. I spotted with both pregnancies slightly earlier than my normal spotting. Otherwise it was exactly the same as my period spotting. It’s normal for cycles to change as well as you age. Not saying you’re old, just it’s normal for your normal to become something different. If you’re worried take a test in a day or 2.

I had it the first time I was pregnant, it came a close to around my period. I was very light, more so..pink/brownish..definitely not bright red (this was 7yrs ago). There wasn’t a smell..it was just very light..like if I would’ve wanted to wear a panty liner all day, it wouldn’t bleed through. Similar to spotting on the very last day of your period and it lasted like a day or two. I’m currently pregnant with my second child and this time there was no spotting at all, I got my BFP the day of my expected period.

I never had implantation bleeding w either of my kids. Or I just missed it when I wiped. I recently had implantation bleeding or what I think it was cause I never bleed randomly. You can have it for 1-2 days super light pink, nothing like a period.

i never had implantation bleeding. i wouldn’t read into it. if anything i’m sure it’s just supposed to be regular spotting basically

I had it twice. I knew cz it was spotting light pink almost a week before my period was due. I don’t spot when I start and my period doesn’t come that early. Maybe a wipe or two and nothing else.

Out of 6 pregnancies… I’ve had implantation bleeding 1 time. And that ended up being a chemical pregnancy. I know it was implantation because it happened on 10days past ovulation and not near my period. Any time I had bleeding on or after my period was due to start it was a period or miscarriage/period.

I’m pretty sure it’s not a good idea to wear a tampon if you think you’re pregnant. At least that’s what my ob told me.

Implantation bleeding is rare.
It happens around 6-12 days after ovulation. 
It’s very very light spotting that doesn’t last more than a day. 
Take a test if you think you could be pregnant.
