My boyfriend of 10 years has what we think are ulcers. He keeps having episodes every few months where he is throwing up, extremely sick, can’t eat for days and ends up having to go to the emergency room. It’s expensive & time consuming, he had to take off work unpaid twice because of it just this month and I’m always the one who has to take him to the emergency room. I’m worried sick about his health as this has been going on for years. I scheduled an appointment with him today with a GI doctor to figure out what’s going on. The appointment is at 2:40. He works night shift and hasn’t gotten a lot of sleep the past few nights so he’s extremely tired. He said he’s too tired to go. I told him if he doesn’t go I’ll be extremely upset. This appointment was hard to get, they schedule months out. I told him if he doesn’t go I won’t be seeing him at all this weekend, and I won’t be the one to take him to the emergency room anymore. I told him he can sleep after the appointment but that he really needs to go. He’s upset with me now. Am I wrong for being upset? I honestly feel like breaking up over this.
