My daughter was supposed to go on a date yesterday and she had been talking about it for over a month. She originally asked him out which my husband had a problem with. He's old school and believed the man should ask out the woman. She wanted to go to a concert with him but couldn't because she had paid for the tickets before even asking him and my husband wouldn't let her go since she paid for them so she went with a friend instead. She told the guy and the guy said it was okay and if that's how her dad feels they can still go on a date and to just give him a minute to save. So he still wanted to go out with her. She called me crying last night because he came to pick her up and my husband embarrassed her in front of him. He asked where he was taking her and he said Apple Bees and my husband didn't like that and gave him a lecture saying you don't take a woman to Apple Bees and how he's supposed to take her to a fancy restaurant and refused to let out daughter go on the date. His mom was waiting outside to drive them and my daughter was so embarrassed. I got on to my husband and he says he's just showing her how men should treat her. I said "They're 15. What do you think they can afford?" He started saying if he cared about her he would have saved to take her somewhere fancy. She's just gonna get chicken strips. My daughter is upset and is refusing to talk to my husband and my husband is saying I need to fix it and tell her to stop ignoring him because it's disrespectful. You embarrassed her in front of a guy she likes and his mom.
