At what age did your toddler stop taking naps completely ?

My 2 yr old takes 1 nap mid day. although I enjoy the nap I stress with what time she will take her nap because if she takes it to late she’ll be up late she fights her naps if I don’t turn everything off and put her to sleep she won’t nap and if she goes for long period of time without her nap she’ll become so cranky which makes it hard if there’s people around or we’re out. Was wondering when do they stop taking naps and make them less cranky and go to sleep early until the next morning

My 5 year olds still need naps. 1-2 hours. They take naps in their first year of real school, and daycare gives naps to kids 5yo’s. You need peace time and them to not be so cranky

Someone once told me and it’s worked well for us 5/5.5 hour wake periods. Some a normal routine day which we try very hard to stay on routine 7am wake up 11:30 turn off everything began quiet time before nap time at 12pm. Sleep no more than two hour max but normally just 1.5hr. 6:30pm starts quiet time again, bath with glow up toys and lavender drop in the water, soft classical music, lavender lotion and some bedtime clothes, read a book or two but 7:00 bedtime start with brown noise on and dark room. 90% time he falls asleep 7:20-7:30pm and will sleep until 7am the next day. If she’s fighting naps I would definitely find a routine and be very strict about it for a while.

My daughter stopped napping around 3. She would occasionally skip naps, and started fighting naps, so we switched to “quiet time” but had to stop that after maybe a month because she would fall asleep at the very end of quiet time and have to be woken up to keep bedtime on track. She will take random car naps and still sometimes (age 4) takes short naps on days she is extra tired, but it usually messes up bedtime if she naps too long or too late in the day. She does best when she stays up the whole day and falls asleep well at bedtime. My son is not yet one, so still on two naps and I’m hoping he follows a similarly smooth transition.

My 3 oldest have stopped between 2-3. We only stopped because they wouldn’t fall asleep until 11pm if they napped during the day. They still take car naps which doesn’t mess them up (usually 30ish minutes). They are all very active during the day and spend a lot of time outside.

My 15 month old only naps once most days.

My 2.5 year old rarely naps these days. Only a car nap here and there. But she sleep 12-13hrs a night and she functions fine during the day so I’m not worried. Do I think she should nap? Yes but she just gets out of bed to play. We do quiet time every day when her brother naps 12-2. We also aren’t very active right now because it’s so snowy right now. 
Most kids need a nap until 4. But every kid is different and you just move and test things until you find what works.

My 3 oldest kids were anywhere from 4-6 years old when they stopped. My youngest is 3 and doesn't show any signs of stopping naps any time soon.
