I just got off birth control and got pregnant immediately. I had a transvaginal ultrasound yesterday. I was supposed to be 8 weeks 1 day according to my last period. The baby measured at 6 weeks and 2 days and lacked a heart beat. The notes from the ultrasound say that there was a fetal pole and yolk sack. But it also stated that there was debris within the sack and the results of everything was likely related to a miscarriage. The doctor said she wanted me to do two HCG tests 48 hours apart. I had my first one this morning coming back at 134,000 which is well above the 6 week range. I just don’t know how to feel. I will be getting the second set on Friday. Wondering if this has happened to anyone else? If so, what was the outcome.
