Hurt and upset

Been in this casual situation with this older guy for over a year. He told me he cared for me, and anytime I need help to call him. I recently told him about some issues I have been having with my car, and he said he didn’t want to hear about it until I go see about it. I get it, but he works in the car industry, and he’s helped me plenty of times before with my car. Since we talked, I’ve had a few mechanics check and fix some parts but it’s still one more problem with my car.

Literally this morning, I has to pull over the side of the highway because my car was over heating.

I was on the phone with my brother and he was helping me with my car. I wanted to cry, because I have not heard from this guy in two weeks and not once has he checked on me since we last talked. I mostly blame myself for giving myself to him, but I’m also upset with him. I don’t understand why you tell me these things when you truly dont mean it. Overall, besides this situation, he’s been the best guy I’ve been involved with, but I don’t think I can do this anymore with him.

Just need some extra advice.
