Ease my mind: Mixing medicine

Please tell me I am not the only one who failed miserabley on your first self administered injection??? I thought I got all the air out before injecting, I was so nervous to inject i didnt even pierce the skin initoally and had to push it in, start pushing the plunger to administer medicstion and my husband sees a bubble in the syringe, out of nervousness i only pushed meds in until it reached the bubble and stopped. I didnt get all the meds in and now i feel anxious about it. Please tell me it gets easier and that i didnt screw myself not getting all the meds on my very first shot
