Having sex today

So last month the condom broke, took plan B, my period came but I was so traumatised because this happens to me to the first time.I asked my bf if he is okay with us not doing sex before my period come and he said yes.I am day 5 on my period today and we are having sex.I think the condom broke because I was very dry and I forced myself on the condom.So we decided that we are buying lube.Hope everything is fine.
