Devastated that I'm on birth control again 😔

This is my third nexplanon bar. I got my first one at 14 and it broke in half after 2 years so I got a replacement same day in opposite arm and had it since I was 17. Fast forward to now, I'm almost 24. It's been nearly 7 years since I've been on any form of birth control.

Here's the catch. The only reason the doctors put me on it is because I had a constant period for 35 days then had an additional period one week later. They did a vaginal sonogram and a regular sonogram 13 days after my constant period started. I was supposed to get the results back the next day but never did. The day I go in to get the nexplanon my OB finally diagnosed my problem (extended period) after 7 weeks just to tell me they found a polyp that was the size of a nickel and by my next period I need to make an appointment ASAP because if it grows any bigger it can turn into cancer.

That's when I had second thoughts about getting back on Birth control but felt like they were forcing it on me "because I needed to get it or it could get worse." I told her if I get the nexplanon bar I won't have an active period until it's removed in 3 years. She then decides to schedule my appointment 6 months out... If it was urgent you'd think they'd want to do the rest of the scans around my next expect period right? Well apparently they have to wait half a year just to make sure I'm not pregnant just to do the test. I'm livid!!

Also off topic slightly and might be weird since I've been on birth control before but has anyone else got weird food cravings since they've been on birth control like icing and chips?
