After three years of trying and low AMH - it happened!
I’m pregnant! Husband and I were planning on doing IVF at the end of the year, but it doesn’t seem like it will be necessary anymore 🙂💜
Looks like baby #3 will be arriving in early January of 2025, though I expect a mid-December delivery with my history. 🙂
Edited to add: while my AMH was low, it didn’t mean I couldn’t/wouldn’t conceive on my own - it would just take a lot longer than it would for someone with normal ovarian reserve. When we spoke with the fertility center, they *did* recommend supplements for AMH support (not to make more):
EGG Quality Supplments (taken right from the message from the NP):
-Vitamin D 5,000 -DHEA 25 mg twice a day -CoQ10 200 mg twice a day -Melatonin Night 3mg -Fish oil 1,000 units -Folic acid 1,000 units -Vitamin E 500-800 units
(I’m not quite sure about the use of melatonin - perhaps for a better sleep?)
The most I did, was track my cycle more in-depth. I used the Mira device with the Max wands and was able to see trends with my LH, Progesterone and e3g (estrone-3-glucuronide; three components to estrogen that thicken the lining of the uterus). Mira was wonderful because, while disheartening, I saw what cycles my body wasn’t completely “baby ready” and thankfully, the first cycle that it showed about of spikes in the right places and higher numbers (all but the LH was plateaued pretty much every month, save a small spike by progesterone- which mine is normal, but I’m sure goes hand in hand with the e3g). The Mira was probably my best investment. After 2 1/2 years of heartache and just using LH sticks and guessing (because I’m horrible at them), after 4 months of using it (and started testing after my period ended), one stuck. ♥️
I know it’s not always the case with everyone and I pray they get those two pink lines. It is a very hard, stressful and upsetting journey - thinking of you all! ♥️✨
This it the device and wands I used:
And just to show my conception cycle and how Mira documents it:
The 8th was ovulation day - typically fertile days are green, but since I logged a pregnancy, it’s now gray. You can see how it all peaked in one way or another (some higher than the others) on ovulation day and how my e3g and progesterone but took a similar spike and the. Did it again a few days after. My progesterone was really showing up for the party this month.
