Anyone else feel weak, lightheaded and out of breath postpartum? I had a postpartum hemorrhage 5-6 hours after delivery. I received about 5 or 6 units of blood. I was anemic during my pregnancy. The doctor made sure I was okay (he gave me an internal uterine massage, made sure my 2nd degree stitches were good, and made sure my hemoglobin levels were way more than what I needed. He also has me taking 65 MG of Iron everyday for two months). I don’t have a fever. I went to the doctor yesterday because I had a stitch fall out (doctor said it would heal just fine; stitching it back would just put me through more pain) and he checked my hemoglobin level. The bloodwork showed it was normal. I am breastfeeding and producing a lot of milk…. Could breastfeeding make me feel this way if I’m not eating or drinking enough?? I’m at a loss as to why I feel like this. I am s first time mom.
