Any doctors/nurses here??
I’m waiting months to get in with a specialist and trying to avoid the ER. Since having my baby (he’s 1) I’ve had sustained hypertension that never went away. It was always 100/50 pre-pregnancy and now it’s 140/90-160/100 ALL the time. And I get dizzy spells, cold red/purple feet and low leg swelling, numbness but also nerve pain in low legs, also tired all the time. I went to er once and they sent me home without tests with HTN diagnosis bc I don’t have good insurance (you know how that goes). Now I’m on a waiting list to see a doctor and the medical system is overloaded where I live. If anyone has any ideas / brainstorm what this sounds like I’d love to hear thoughts. (Yes Obviously only an in person doctor can diagnose me). Basically what could cause a person with chronically low BP for 36 years of life to develop chronically high symptomatic BP after having a baby? Also during birth I had preeclamsia and my placenta abrupted after I was given too much pitocin, AND I had a major vein rupture resulting in my arm twice its normal size in the arm where they administered the IV. (major medical errors occurred).
