No, I had missed my entire period with my first pregnancy and only got a faint line. It took 5 more days after my missed period to get a blazing positive

That’s positive! It all depends when your egg implanted - there is a window of time this happens and if it was on the later side then your test wouldn’t be as dark as some women who implanted earlier in the window- or perhaps you ovulated slightly later than you thought or were fertilized a day or two later - sperm can live for 5 days. Congratulations mama!
