Anyone else being induced?

Scheduled induction for 39 weeks due to gestational diabetes. They did a growth scan at 37w 1 day. I’m very nervous but I know it’s for the best.

Hey! I have type 2 diabetes and I’m scheduled for a 37/38 week induction!
I had my first at 36 weeks
Both vaginal! My first one went great! I totally understand if you’re worried but typically they have a bunch of set routines and the docs and nurses in place for everything! My first I labored great and fast! The only thing to worry about is just be prepared for any nicu time because the babies blood glucose can be low! But nothing a little colostrum/formula can’t fix! (Or glucose drip) 
I’m very excited and comfortable going through with induction for my second one, I like the idea of having it all planned especially because they have high risk doctors available, and you really will have the best care for you ❤️

I would fight being induced for size of the baby reasons, I am very petit and I’ve had large babies and this one is measuring large. If you want to try to go into labor on your own your doctor should hear you out and/or be able to explain good reasons with evidence why you should have an induction. Induction makes labor much more painful and faster so your body doesn’t have time to catch up. Labor is a marathon but if you are in good health and feel good otherwise, you could probably handle it. I would tell your doctor you don’t want to be induced or you want to try natural induction first, or ask them if you can wait another few days until you feel better about it. Just so you know I’m Not judging you in anyway these are just my thoughts and feelings. At the end of the day anyway you deliver your baby is going to result in you having your baby and that’s beautiful.
