How to be the bad guy?

My husband told me that if he has to come home everyday to someone like me when he's making 500k a year that he will shoot himself. 
I told him if he is that unhappy with me then he needs to leave our relationship. He said he would never leave and continue to fake being happy.  So I have to be the one to "look like the bad guy leaving the marriage" according to him.

Well I guess hes shooting himself then? In all seriousness though, I dont think it makes someone look bad because they were the one who initiated the divorce....thats just silly honestly. Of all my friends/family who divorced, Ive never even asked who initiated, and even if it was my friend, well maybe it's because he was an ahole and said horrible things to her like he will hate her when hes rich BLECH

Sounds like he's really worried about what things "look like" to others. If I were you, I wouldn't give two shits about that and I would dump his ass fast. File for divorce. Then alimony too. If you have any text messages where he says stuff like this, keep those to show to courts. ￼
