In law help
Kind of a confusing title but I didn’t know how else to put it but I’ve found myself in a situation where I don’t know what to do.
Basically I have 2 sister in laws who all had girls before me. First sister in law had 3 girls and was done having kids and gave all clothes to the second sister in law who then passed some clothes to me when I found out I was having a girl. I know she didn’t pass everything because she and mother in law have both mentioned her keeping clothes she bought/ clothes she would want to use in the future.
Now I’m expecting the first boy and I’ve been of course buying all the boy clothes and my mother in law has bought me a couple outfits. First sister in law is no longer done having kids and is decided to try for more (none of my business) and other sister in law is having another baby and is expecting to find out the gender soon. First sister in law has said “now you know boy clothes get passed down just like girl clothes” and I can’t help but want to say no. She initially passed the girl clothes down because she was done having kids and I ALWAYS intended to return the girl clothes should the second sister in law have another girl but keep the ones I have bought. I don’t want to be selfish but I have bought very nice name brand clothes and church clothes for this baby boy. I know they were generous to let me use the girl clothes but I can’t help but not want to give the boy or girl clothes I have personally bought because I am not planning to be done having children. Also when I am done my husband agreed that I would sell the clothes at consignment to make some money back since I have spent quite a bit.
Am I being a jerk here??
