NIPT Results For 4th Baby?
I have 3 girls, so of course I kinda want a boy. But I already have a name for a 4th girl ready to go, and unsure what I would name my boy (all of my kids names start with 'L')
I was 9 weeks 5 days when they did my NIPT blood test. They said they can do them as early as 9 weeks now, though just 2 years ago it was 10 weeks with my last baby.
The results say another girl (which is fine with me!!) But the fetal fraction was 5% and I've heard the rare people that get a false gender had a low percentage.
My mom is waiting for me to give her an envelope with the gender so she can plan something for me since I wanted a reveal this go around. Should I tell her I want to wait for the ultrasound instead? Or should we trust the 99% accuracy and go with it? I know the answer is obvious, but this pregnancy is unlike my others. And my husband has yet to be wrong about their genders early on and he is holding out hope for a boy. I've been through gender disappointment before and have decided a healthy baby is my focus regardless, Just wanted some thoughts on this incase we will need to buy all new clothes or get to use hand me downs! 🤣
