Coworker broke some of my stuff
The last day of school was yesterday and I almost slapped another teacher. A couple months ago we were told that the 5th grade hall was gonna move upstairs and special ed was gonna move downstairs for next school year. One of the special ed teachers decided she wanted my room even though she hadn't even been assigned a room for next year yet. She asked me if we could switch early and I said no. I'm not moving my entire classroom early. This is my class room for this school year. These changes don't start until next year. She got mad and then wanted to move her stuff in my classroom early. I also said no because I didn't have the space. She was trying to take up my area where I do my small groups. I ended up having to lock my door every time I leave the classroom because she would try to move my stuff. The last few weeks she would stop by my classroom asking why I wasn't packing yet and I said "Don't you have students to teach?" Yesterday I printed some papers before school and when I walk to my classroom my students aren't inside. It's because she had all her boxes right outside my classroom blocking their entrance. Closer to the end of the day we had the awards assembly. I locked my door. When I come back ALL my stuff is outside the classroom and she moved her stuff in. She had thrown a fit to the assistant principal saying the kids aren't coming back to the classroom after the awards assembly and she wants that room now so he unlocked it for her and she put all my boxes into the hallway. When I open them, mugs my students got me where broken. The frame for my teaching certificate is shattered. I was missing my Harry Potter books which I found on HER shelf before I left. She claims it was a mix up but I think she was trying to steal them as they had MY initials on them. I went to the assistant principal about him opening my door and letting her do that and he said to just let her have what she wants because he's sick of her tantrums. It's sad when the kids behave better than adults. My 5th grader commencement ceremony is tonight and I'm just trying to look forward to the final goodby before they go to middle school but that just pisses me off more about her breaking the mugs they gave me
Edit: If you read my original post from months ago it was about the meeting when we found out and she tried to move in. She hadn't full on moved my shit out in that post. She had ATTEMPTED to hence why I started locking my door. This time she got the assistant principal to unlock my door and move ALL my stuff out and broke it in the process while at the awards assembly.
