Go to hospital?!

Question

On May 4th I went to the hospital for low fetal movement. Everything turned out fine.

Yesterday and today, I’ve felt him move some, but nothing compared to his usual. His movements are much fewer and very light. I usually feel every move he makes and especially today, it’s been very different.

I’ve had 1 miscarriage before. I’m 25 weeks and a couple days.

Should I go back to the hospital and have him checked? I don’t want to seem like a crazy/annoying person to the hospital staff. I’m just terrified to lose my baby.

If you feel the movement pattern is different to normal then go asap. I had a stillbirth and my biggest regret is not going to the hospital earlier. I’m sure everything will be fine but you’re best to get checked just to be on the safe side.

if you can still feel him moving i wouldnt go in, kick counts don’t even start until 28 weeks so up until then its normal to feel baby some days more than others.

If you can still feel any movement that’s good. My OB said at that stage any movement counts. As the baby gets bigger and you get further along the movements will start to feel very different. And there won’t be a consistent pattern until after 28 weeks- and even then my baby would have different patterns like every week. But you’re never crazy to go get checked out- the nurse at my hospital told me they would rather me come every week if I was nervous about movements than wait if I thought something was wrong. They won’t judge you.

The Dr.'s usually tell people to drink something really cold and/ or sugary. Lay on left side see if baby moves.

Pregnancy after a loss is really tough. You’re allowed to be worried. Are you able to call your OB? That’s what the nurses line is for. Sometimes your insurance will have a nurses line as well.
