Face presentation delivery
I’m coming to terms with needing a C-section, but didn’t know if anyone had any experience with a baby getting back into a normal position after being in face presentation. any exercises or positions I can try that might allow baby to tuck her chin. I can’t seem to find anything online as this seems to be a very rare (0.2% of births) occurrence. I’m almost 38 weeks and last week baby was in the “picture perfect” position and now she’s presenting face first. I’d obviously like to deliver vaginally as it’s an easier recovery, but c-section will definitely be safer for baby. I’ll sacrifice my comfort for baby’s safety. My induction (but I guess now a C-section) is in 11 days. I just want an ounce of hope that she may move back to where she was. this has been a rough pregnancy (brain anomalies, ventriculomegaly, polyhydroamnios, large baby—7.5lbs at 36 weeks) and I’d just love for one thing to go the way I want it to. And of course my chiropractor is away this week so I can’t get into see her. She was able to help flip the baby from breech at 31 weeks. I just need some words of advice, encouragement and hope.
