Is this petty or valid?

My kids and hubby went to my in-laws today, my niece and nephew was there too. I wanted to stay home. Called my MIL to ask if hubby should bring the cake I baked yesterday for everyone, she said sure. Hubby comes home, says the cake was put aside and no one touched it. I’m pissed off, first it needs to be refrigerated since it’s with cream, and if no one was going to it, than what’s the point, give it back!!!
