need advice/help

I am trying for a baby and I’ve never had a health class or anything so i dont know any of this and i dont have any family i can ask ( no rude comments i feel awkward and little stupid for asking )

I had sex the whole week i was ovulating ( which i’ve learned is the most fertile week for women) so when should i take a pregnancy test It’s saying i’ll have my next period this coming week should i take a test now or wait?

also if it comes back negative what should i do to increase my chances of getting pregnant ?
