Doctors and needles!!!
Hey ladies! I just found out yesterday I am expecting and am now at five weeks… I am excited but I’m very sad because the anxiety of going to the doctors is completely overshadowing. I’m absolutely terrified of being poked by needles or seeing what’s going on inside my body. I don’t know where it came from, but it makes me extremely queasy and feel faint.
I don’t want to sound ungrateful or a wimp or anything- and I’m very thankful for being able to go to the doctors and I understand it’s imperative for babies and my health BUT I have always had such an intense fear of anything medical.
I am absolutely dreading the blood tests and I know that’s not even probably the worst thing… since there will be more things not to mention actually giving birth lol. Does anybody have any advice for overcoming this or any stories on how you got through it? Thank you so much for hearing my heart on this 🩷
