Lexi or Alexis?

Thoughts on the name Lexi? We love the name Lexi and were thinking of just legally naming her that. My name is legally Katie so im used to people asking if its just Katie or short for something. Ive always loved my name and was proud im just "Katie". But ive read a lot of bad comments on the name (like people teasing "sexy lexi" or they think of a stripper or dont take a person named lexi seriously). Ive never thought of those things and think its a beautiful name but i want to give our daughter options if she doesnt like the nickname. We also like the name Taylor. I love the name Hailey and Ashley but my husband doesnt. He loves the name Samantha and Skylar, i don't. Lexi is the only name we both love. Im just not sure i love the name Alexis or Alexandra.
