When does nipple pain resolve if on period ?

I’ve been having light bleeding/spotting the last 4 days but it’s been consistent for 3. Only had the spotting twice hours apart the first day and I at first thought it was period that came a few days early but now I’m not sure. I am picking up a test today but not sure if I should just wait to take it tomorrow. Now my question is my nipples have been hurting. Now the pain varies. Sometimes the pain is a lot and other times it’s very little. If it’s period related shouldn’t they have stopped hurting by now after 3 days? It’s only my nipples and they feel bruised, especially my left one and the bruise feeling is mostly off to the left side and if I press it, it actually almost makes me nauseous. It’s pretty unusual for me to continue to have nipples/boob pain days into my period but I don’t know if it’s impossible.
