I want to cut my hair
I’m Pentecostal…
I’ve been told all my life by my mom that my hair is my glory, that my hair is my covering but I can’t take it anymore.
My hair is SO thick and long.
It is almost to the ground.
I can’t do anything with my hair. It literally stays in a big, ugly bun.
I always try to braid it but can’t… I can’t even put it in a claw clip.
I told my mom I wanted to cut it but she is making me feel so guilty. She said, “have you noticed when people back slide the first thing they do is cut their hair?”
And I was thinking to myself, well maybe because it’s too long and they want to be able to actually handle and care for their hair.
I am 27 years old. I don’t feel pretty wearing a grandma bun.
Any other Pentecostals out there?
