Does this sound like a gambling problem?

My bf just recently got into placing bets on sites like BetMGM and DraftKings etc he does it on multiple different sites and apps. When he first starting doing it he won a couple bets so he wanted to keep doing it, but now he’s literally just throwing money away because he places bet after bet after bet he will place multiple in one night and none of them win. I’m pregnant and I’ve been telling him to just stop doing it so much or stop doing it all together because now isn’t the time to be stupid with money and clearly he’s not winning any bets but he tells me no that the next one will win and to just wait or just one more but it’s not “one more” he just keeps doing it. Like last night he placed multiple big bets and to no surprise, none of them won so he lost all the money he placed. Now this morning he’s already placed again multiple bets and is assuring me that at least 1 will win but I already know he’s gonna he pissed off later because they’re not gonna win and he will have thrown away MORE money. I just wish he’d stop but he won’t. He has thrown away hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars on bets but thinks it’s worth it because he won a decent amount when he first started doing it. 😒
