Lines getting lighter. Worried about Possible miscarriage

I am currently 40 years old, and 8 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. My first ultrasound is not until 7/16, and with all of the talk about increased risk for miscarriages at my age… I have continued to test sporadically every few days. Maybe I am just overthinking it, but it seems like my last 3 tests are lighter than they had been at the end of week 6. I am exactly 8 weeks today.
