induction experience for moms who have already birthed a child
just got scheduled to be induced at 39 and 4. this will be my 3rd child. 1st labor was very long, painful and ended in vacuum assisted delivery. 2nd labor was much quicker (still painful haha) but overall faster and much less pushing. for this one i’m getting induced due to being advanced maternal age, big baby, too much fluid and now diabetes. they said ill come in the night before for cervical ripening with the foley bulb if im less than 3 cm and will come in the morning for pitocin if 3 cm or more. obviously it’s unpredictable, but how long do you think this process will take? like once they insert the foley until when baby is here? trying to plan for childcare and if my partner needs to be there for the evening etc.
